This navigation is particularly favourable to the video or to the photo of scenery as portrait, the crew will participate with enjoyment in this session to memorize your moment on board.
Among all activities, there is an original way of exploring the bottom of the lagoon in all safety : with Aqua Safari, a unique formula in Polynesia. The people at the Bora Diving Center have been welcoming the tourists in Bora Bora for over 30 years and they observed that there is still a large number of our visitors feeling some apprehension about discovering the underwater fauna with a diving gear. For these people and also for all others (and there are a few!) who can't swim, Aquasafari proposes an underwater walk with the help of a diver's helmet and lead shoes. Monitored by experienced instructors, you can this way discover "on foot" (in 4-meter depth) the fantastic underwater hidden spots of the Bora Bora lagoon.
Without worries, you can closely observe sea turtles, rays and even lagoon sharks, marvel over the corals' ever changing colors, accompanied by an escort of small tropical fishes which will stay with you during your two-hour walk. A truly mind blowing experience! Aquasafari has a supply of a dozen of complete gears, two of which are for young children (8 years old or older).
Our main purpose is to allow the clients to discover the beauty of Bora Bora and its wild side, far from the touristy areas always with the assistance of a certified guide.
Accesible to experts and novice swimmers who love nature
The circle lagoon tour we offer lasts 3 &1/2 hours.
We have spacious and comfortable speed boats provided with a large canopy for sun protection. They are also equipped with shower, wash basin and small toilette cabin.
Descriptions of the stops
The first stop will be in a preserved coral garden located between two islets, in the north west of the island. A real bed of corals in shallow water hiding an underwater fauna & flora untouched and full of colors. Sting rays are often visitors of this coral gardens.
The second stop will be in the east of Bora Bora. Our clients will snorkel along a wall of lace corals and with their guide they will swim with the mythical manta rays and admire their majestic and unique movements. Although they can reach a size of 4 meters this snorkeling area is safe as manta rays are peaceful and only eat plankton.
The third snorkel stop will be in the south east of the island, in a magnificent bay with the view of the volcano rim. Our clients do a drift snorkel above a sand bank to see a school of spotted eagle rays. The group can reach sometimes the number of 12 rays !
The fourth snorkeling stop will be in the south of Bora Bora, close to Matira point. The clients will swim in the middle of a natural pool of turquoise and crystal clear water and be surrounded by hundred of tropical fish. Moray eels point the tip of their nose often too!.
During the tour we stop four times in different cardinal points of the island to snorkel in the most preserved corals gardens of the lagoon, the clients will see a rich variety of fishes like anemone fishes, moray, beautiful coral formations and the beautiful Manta rays and Eagle rays. Please note that the order of the stops during the excursion may change depending on hotel pickups.
We would like to point out that the mentioned snorkeling spots may be subject to modification due to tide, current and visibility conditions and that Manta rays or Eagle rays in particular are not guaranteed 100%.
They are wild animals and although we see them 95% of the times we cannot guarantee their presence in advance due to the raisons mentioned previously. Every tour is different; we may see a turtle, a group of dolphins or even whales in migration season, but we cannot mention it in the tour description as it is not in a regular basis.
Additional information
We take in average four couples, so the clients receive a very personalized treatment. We are a team of dive instructors, and in the coral gardens we snorkel in three of the stops with the clients to show them the fauna and flora and help snorkeling those who are afraid or do not feel comfortable in the water.
For the clients who are interested, we explain during the tour the reef and island's formation.
We do provide comfortable life vests and "short wet suits" to those who feel easily cold in the water.
Regarding the snorkeling equipment and beach towels, we would provide it if their hotel doesn't.
We provide mineral water, soft drinks and local juices too.

The couple will then go back to their hotel, watching the sunset, drinking champagne and listening to the ukulele.

Schedule: usually from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, including the outrigger canoe ride to the motu. The outrigger canoe is decorated with flowers and leaves. The ceremony takes place on the beach of an island (motu), in a very natural and beautiful setting.
Once on the motu, the couple can put on the white pareo that we give them. Warriors come to meet them, and carry them within their arms to meet the priest for the beginning of the ceremony. Songs, music and dances performed by the group punctuate the entire ceremony. A bottle of champagne is served.
Duration of the ceremony: 30 minutes. The couple will then go back to their hotel, watching the sunset, drinking champagne and listening to the ukulele.
