Among the prestigious hotels established in Bora Bora, the Maitai Polynesia is located in a most ideal spot on the exceptional headland of Matira Point. Sitting across from the islet of "Motu Piti Aau", most of the rooms and bungalows provide great views of the crystal clear lagoon where hues of green, aqua and blue mingle.

Rooms

The hotel, entirely built in Tahitian style, opened in June 1998 and there are four room categories offered in this haven of serenity. Nine new over water bungalows were recently added in an extension along with 20 air-conditioned rooms. Each room offers a dazzling view of the surroundings and overlooks the colorful lagoon.

Le Maitai Bora Bora The art deco-style Beach front Bungalows are available with either a queen-size bed or two single beds. The bungalows provide an exceptionally warm welcome, with their burnished hardwoods, louvered windows, thatched ceilings and earth-toned fabrics. Discerning guests revel in the authentic Polynesian feel, whilst also appreciating the modern touches such as direct dial phone, safe, satellite-television, CD, DVD and MP3 reader, mini-bar and coffee-maker. The spacious, air-conditioned bungalows, with a dressing area, are approximately 60 square meters. The bathrooms feature all amenities plus a separate bathtub and walk-in shower. Beach bungalows benefit from a private beach, with deck-chairs and hammocks available. Whilst it is not possible to add an extra bed, beach bungalows can incorporate a convertible sofa that can accommodate a third adult or a child.

Restaurants

The two restaurants, along with the Maitai Polynesia bar, will welcome you throughout the day. They offer fine food and cocktails in a relaxed ambiance. The menus and buffets -elaborated by our chef- are a bridge between Polynesian and traditional cuisines. You will find the best "nectar" to go with your food in our large wine selection.

Le Maitai Bora Bora Late afternoon enjoy a tropical drink from our Polynesian Bar. Experience an inspiring Sunset, famous through the South pacific. Le Royal Tahitien has five music on Friday and Saturday nights Join in with the Tahitians and dance the night away.

The team in charge of activities will be pleased to introduce you to the activities available on the Island. Besides the guided touristic tours, Bora Bora offers a wide range of water activities, to make your stay with us unforgettable. You dreamed of it; now, it's time to live it! Dive in the Bora Bora Lagoon, go for a jeep safari tour, jump in a helicopter for an island tour, or participate to rays and sharks feeding!
