The charm of Moorea, the most beautiful of the "Windward Islands" comes from the harmony between its traditional culture, its turquoise lagoon and its volcanic profile.

Sheltered from the "alizées" (tropical winds), the Opunohu bay is a haven of peace for dolphins and whales, thanks to the combination of its calms and the depth of its water.

The quietude and the beauty of the Pension Fare Vaihere will provide you with a resting and warm atmosphere in a preserved environment. The pleasant ambiance, around the four Polynesian style bungalows located in a flowered garden along the lagoon will contribute to your relaxing stay with us.

The large plot of land and the easy access to the lagoon allow privacy and relaxation for everyone. From our beach, the sunset on the ocean offers a spectacular show, yet different every evening.

Our bungalows

Our four "fare" (bungalows) are made in Polynesian style, with their 180 sq ft bedroom and 90 sq ft private bathroom with shower and warm water.

You will also enjoy their 90 sq ft covered terrace that comes with two teak armchairs and a coffee table.

The bedrooms are provided with a mosquito net over the queen-size bed and a ceiling fan. An additional single bed can be used as a sofa.

You will also find a teak desk with a matched chair, a large wardrobe covered with braided pandanus, two teak bedside tables, a small individual refrigerator and an electric kettle with complimentary tea and coffee.

Our large dining room, facing the sea, is entirely furnished with teak. It is in this "fare pote" that we serve breakfast and dinner.

Should you wish to enjoy them "al fresco" a large table can accommodate you in front of this fare pote.
For dinner you will be offered (upon request, please book your table) the unique opportunity to taste and enjoy the typical Polynesian cuisine prepared by Corinne and Philippe.

For example, you could taste : seared tuna coated with sesame seeds, mahi-mahi fillet with sweet mashed potatoes, and coconut pie.

The ideal location of our pension with its white sand beach and a fringing reef will allow our guests and their children unforgettable sun bathing and extremely safe swimming.
Our guests will have unlimited access to :

• A pier making it possible to swim in full water and to practice snorkeling "as in a fish-tank".
• Free snorkeling equipment.
• Free kayaks to enjoy the Bay of Oponohu.
• Free bicycles to visit the surrounding areas.
• Nautical Excursions for a discovery of the lagoon.
• Many books, in several languages.
• We can also recommend you to local operators who will love make you discover Moorea's hidden beauty : walking, trekking, ATV or SUV tour to discover the valleys, outrigger boat, catamaran tour...

Excursions

Philippe offers lagoon tours (4 passengers minimum) including :

• A tour of the beautiful Bay of Opunohu.
• The Tikis visit (underwater stone statues).
• Friendly stingrays and lagoon sharks encounter.
• Promenade on the Motu Moea.
• You will have a chance to see whales or dolphins playing in bay, according to the season.

The boat accommodates no more than 8 passengers, guaranteeing a full enjoyment to your excursion. Free snorkeling equipment is at your disposal.
Boat tours are also open to non residents of the Pension Fare Vaihere.
