Overwater Bungalows

From the private terrace of your bungalow, you can slip straight into the warm turquoise water which French Polynesia and especially Rangiroa is reputed for.

Whether in the living area, the bedroom, bathroom or private solarium, the noble materials are used to recreate a true Polynesian style.

Facilities include: minibar, air conditioning, fan, hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities, telephone, internet access, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion)

Beach Bungalows

Every morning, in one of the 25 bungalows set along the white sandy beach between the coconut trees, one can contemplate the lagoon that stretches all the way to the horizon.

All is forgotten in this luxurious and comfortable paradise...

It changes every hour of the day. The epicureans will appreciate..."the precious gemstone like colors that stretch to infinity, a show of rare beauty..." comfortably sitting in their jacuzzi and sipping one of the delicious cocktails offered by the hotel. The hedonists will be touched by the comfort of the bungalows, where the decor is a beautiful homage to the traditional Polynesian craftsmanship. The thatched roofing and bamboo interiors coordinate with the surrounding nature resulting in a very relaxing environment. All Beach Bungalows, are equipped with shower, fridge, air conditioner, fan, safe, hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities, telephone, internet connection, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap).

Beach Bungalows (19 units): consist of one bedroom and living area each.

Beach Bungalow Suites (3 units): consist of two bedrooms, a mezzanine and a living area.

The Deluxe Beach Bungalows (3 units)

The Deluxe Beach Bungalows of the Hotel Kia Ora are an invitation to relaxation. Situated on the beach, they are built with Kohu wood, a local wood reputed for its warm and relaxing honey colors.

The interior decoration of the bungalows pays extra attention to details.

The headboards are carved in Tahitian motifs while big pieces of tapa hand painted by local artists adorn the walls. The main attraction of the deluxe bungalow is its outdoor bathtub allows you to take leisurely baths under the stars and enjoy a bath perfumed with tiare or ylang-ylang on a tropical night. There is also the outdoor individual "jet stream pool" offering you a superb view of the opal colored lagoon of Rangiroa atoll.

Maximum Capacity : 2 people (possible to add extra bedding for one adult)

All bungalows are equipped with king size or twin beds.

Garden Bungalows

The 28 traditional bungalows set among the coconut grove of the Hotel Kia Ora are notable for their authenticity and beauty; the setting recreates a serene enchanting garden - perfect for quiet walks.

The hotel offers two types of accommodation : Garden Suites (5 units) with a living room and a separate bedroom and the Garden Bungalows (23 units) with a room. For ultimate comfort, it also has a bathroom with a shower, a fridge, air conditioning, hair dryer, fan, telephone, internet access and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body cream and soap)

Te Rairoa Restaurant
Aspiring to be as refined and exotic as the chef's menu, the decoration of the restaurant must be noted.
The chef has managed to subtly marry the traditional Polynesian dishes, which are appreciated for their tropical tastes with menus that give french cuisine its reputation. A wide variety of flavors to cater for everyone. Amongst these suggested delicacies to savor - the seafood and grilled fish specialties.
Spread across a large table, an enormous variety of desserts are prepared by the Pastry Chef. Amateurs of fine wine will be seduced by the "carte des vins"!
Polynesian nights are held every Wednesday & Sunday with singing and dancing shows along with the traditional Polynesian feast.

Miki Miki Bar
Among the house cocktails : Blue Lagoon, Pink Sands, Secrets of the Lagoon and Rangiroa Blue Sky. The originality of this bar constructed above the water is a suitable excuse to meet up with friends for an exotic cocktail as well as to admire the extraordinary sun setting over the Rangiroa lagoon.The terrace of the bar, with its glass floorboards, allows you to gaze at the marine life during the day and even at night.
 

Scuba diving
Scuba diving at the Hotel Kia Ora is adapted to suit everyone. There are three excursions per day for three different levels :

• The Initiation Dive near Nohi Nohi lagoon is five minutes from the Tiputa Pass. About three meters deep, this is a calm diving spot full of live coral and colorful fish (clown, butterfly, angel and ballista fish).
• Readjustment Dive : Diving at a depth of 15 meters, you will be able to feed the fishes underwater as well as see the live coral formations. You're also welcome to take underwater pictures.
• Deep Sea Diving : this is for the advanced divers ! A 25 meter deep dive led by an instructor and fully equipped with all the safety gear. Night diving is also available on request.

Excursions
The magnificent preserved nature of Rangiroa makes it the ideal setting for outdoor activities and excursions, during which you will discover an exceptionally tropical environment. For more information, please see the activities desk.

• Glass Bottom Boat cruise and shark feeding : to discover the exceptional underwater world of Rangiroa.
• The Dolphin Watch : at Rangiroa, an unforgettable experience.
