Emerged from original chaos about 3 million years ago, Bora Bora means « first born » in Tahitian. This mythical island, once known as « Mai te pora » (created by gods), would have been, the first earth to come out of the waters after Raiatea and to be ruled by women for a long time.

Huahine is certainly the most sensual of the islands. Just a 30-minute flight from Tahiti, it is a genuine, preserved haven to the visitor looking for tranquility. White sand beaches, desert coral islets on the luminous blue lagoon and lush hills, the island is a concentrate of Polynesian beauty.

A little over 300 kilometers west of Tahiti, Maupiti is a small, isolated island at the tip of the Society archipelago. It is a little jewel of an island that doesn't pale next to its famous neighbor, Bora Bora. Impressive and proud as a medieval fortress, its rocky peak overlooks an exceptionally beautiful lagoon. Protected by an ocean pass said to be difficult, the island remains relatively isolated.

Only Twelve miles from Tahiti, Moorea, the 'yellow lizard' resembles a vast star-shaped garden branching out into eight valleys.

40 minutes on a direct flight from Tahiti-Faa'a, Raiatea was the first island settled by Polynesians and the starting point of the great migrations to the Polynesian Triangle. Known in legends as Hawaiiki, Raiatea remains to this day the cradle of Polynesian culture.

Just a few minutes away from Raiatea's airport by shuttle boat, Taha'a the Vanilla Island has retained the seductiveness of old-time Polynesia. The island is one giant colored and fragrant garden of which vanilla, the precious orchid, is the ruling princess. Taha'a produces more than 80% of the famous Tahitian vanilla, the favorite variety of true connoisseurs.
